Finally back int he blogging game

Ok, so, I want to apologize to everyone who's been checking out my blog every once in a while to see if there's something new. I'm so sorry I just kinda stopped posting after Rwanda.
When I arrived back in the States after Rwanda, my parents were also here for the month of July. So our family got to spend a lot of good time together as we played the 'missionary on furlough game'. We often had two meals a day scheduled for us to meet with someone from church or some friends that mom and dad know. That can get really busy, but I think its fun to be able to get to know people like this, or to spend time with the people we know well.
We took a week out of their time here to go up to Montana to spend time with some fmaily on dad's side. OUr aunt has a cabin up in the mountains, so that's where we stayed. It's so beautiful up there. We had a wonderful time! And we had a nice family road trip getting there and back.

After mom, dad and Jesse went back home, I stayed on campus for about a week for a Third Culture Kid Camp. This was the first one ever and we had a great time. I was so happy to meet every TCK that showed up and I think we had a wonderful group!
We also have a wonderful group of TCK's on our campus this year! We've alreayd had our first get together and I think there were about 20-25 kids.

After that, the Rwandan students arrived here and I was able to spend the whole time of their orientation before the freshman orientation week with them. That was great. But once the other freshmen started rolling in, I let them get acquainted with other people and I usd that time to try to get organized in my appartment.
Now school has started and I am, as always, very busy. In addition to classes and homework I have many things on my mind. But thats ok, cuz I'd rather be busy than bored.

  1. Glad to see you back :-) Know you're busy, but nice to hear from you.

Wondered for a minute about those "TiCK"s ;-) (does that mean that you're small but tenacious, hard to get rid of, hanging on for dear life, along for the ride?)

But seriously, glad you are a help and are learning so much from your time.
